Description
The Leveling Kit provides Keysteps to support sample keys, which in turn support a straightedge for key leveling. Referencing case parts and keypins, decide on and preset heights for the outermost naturals by inserting cut balance punchings with tweezers. Remove frontrail punchings from sample keys and slip on the Keysteps, turning them up to just touch their keys (now these keys will be level when the rest of the keys have been leveled and the Keysteps are removed). For leveling the sharps, add a Rocke Sharp Leveling Gauge to Keystep-supported 1 and 88, choose one of five heights from 15/32" to 1/2" (12mm to 12.7mm), and add straightedge. The tools in this kit are included in the Leveling-Sampling Kit. The Rocke Sharp Leveling Blocks are also available on their own by the pair.
